At iNet Inc., we believe in the latter and are proud to have introduced and implemented several initiatives that focus on reducing the consumption and waste associated with Information Technology infrastructure. Our Total IT Outsourcing, Hosted Terminal Services, and Hosted Virtual Server platforms are at the core of our Green business values, reducing energy consumption, materials usage, and waste at the end of the life cycle. In doing so, we effectively help organizations that use our services cut their TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) – the direct and indirect costs of IT products and systems. Environmentally Preferable Purchasing and Materials Recycling

EPP requirements are increasingly being integrated into major purchasing initiatives in IT organizations and we at iNet are continuing to adopt increasingly environmentally preferable purchasing practices. Having aligned ourselves to meet these requirements, the equipment we purchase and implement are selected based on having a minimal impact on the environment, from power consumption to the materials used and waste generated. We also participate in Materials Recycling initiatives for old and obsolete equipment; promoting the sensible re-use of key materials and contributing to the reduction of landfills and of harmful chemicals being released into the ecosystem.

Virtualization

As Virtualization allows for several physical systems to be integrated into virtual machines residing on one single system, it effectively reduces materials use and power consumption by several fold. This is part and parcel of our Managed Hosting solutions whereby you implement most of your systems and applications as resources on our virtualized machines, rather than invest in the purchase and operation of actual hardware.
